FINALIST, 2016 James River Writers’ Best Self-Published Novel (https://jamesriverwriters.org)

I am honored to announce that I have been chosen as a FINALIST for the 2016 James River Writers’ Best Self-Published Novel award, and I am humbled to be recognized. An extraordinary amount of hard work, mental gymnastics and sweat went into writing Tiananmen Ascending, but the result is extraordinarily satisfying (not only to me, but to everyone who has read the book and given such splendid reviews!) Fingers crossed for more good news, but to merely be chosen as a finalist is AMAZING! Thank you, James River Writers!

One of the Best Political Books, Washington, DC

“A wonderful book full of suspense and thrilling twists and turns that clearly establishes the need for science and technology in support of the USA’s warfighters. I could not put it down!”

Dr. Fred E. Saalfeld, SES-6 (Retired)

former Executive Director/Technical Director, Office of Naval Research

“Britt Alan imagines an unholy alliance between Iran and China in Tiananmen Ascending, a frighteningly prescient tale as splendidly envisioned as it is brilliantly realized. This is a debut novel of rare grit, complexity and vision, as Alan proves himself every bit the equal of Brad Thor and Brad Taylor. Sharp, scathing, and sensational.”
